Preceded by thousands of years of different indigenous cultures, people Caddo lived in the Dallas area before Spanish settlers claimed the territory of the State of Texas in the 18th century as part of the Spanish crown of New Spain. Later, France also claimed the area, but did not grow up a lot of settlements.
In 1819, and the Adams-Onis Treaty between the United States and Spain Rio Tinto defined northern border of New Spain, officially put the site in the future of Dallas is also within the Spanish territory. In 1836, the Republic of Texas, with the majority of Anglo settlers, resigned from Mexico to become an independent state. [19]
In 1839, it surveyed Warren Angus Ferris area surrounding the current Dallas. John Neely Bryan established a permanent settlement near the Dallas Trinity River was appointed in 1841. Republic of Texas annexed by the United States in 1845 and founded the Dallas County the following year. Dallas was formally incorporated as a city in February 2, 1856.
